What cookies and similar technologies onyxdine.com and the OnyxDine platform use, why, and how to control them.
Small text files a website stores on your device so it can remember you between pages and visits. We also use similar technologies — local storage, pixels and SDKs in the apps — and this policy covers those too.
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Make the site work: security, forms, remembering your cookie choice | Session cookie, CSRF token, consent preference | Not required |
| Analytics | Understand which pages are used and how visitors arrive | Google Analytics or similar (IP anonymised) | Only if you allow it |
| Advertising | Measure ad campaigns and show relevant OnyxDine offers on other platforms | Meta Pixel, Google Ads tag | Only if you allow it |
| Functional | Extras such as chat widgets and embedded video | Chat provider, YouTube | Only if you allow it |
The consent banner appears on your first visit. Change your choice any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. Refusing non-necessary cookies never blocks access to the site.
Only necessary cookies and storage: your login session, security tokens, language preference, and — on the POS — an offline queue of orders waiting to sync. No advertising cookies are set on guest-facing QR menus or on any screen inside a restaurant's account.
Analytics and advertising providers may set their own cookies under their own policies when you've allowed those categories. We configure them to minimise data (IP anonymisation, no cross-site profiling where the provider allows it) and we don't share your account data with them.
Session cookies expire when you close the browser or log out. Consent and language preferences are kept for 12 months. Analytics identifiers for up to 14 months. Advertising cookies per the provider, typically 90 days or less.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies will stop parts of the site and platform from working.
How we handle personal information generally is in the Privacy Policy. Questions: hello@onyxdine.com.
